Ordering

Listings are ordered by how recently they were updated, then alphabetically. Position is not for sale.

Featured placement

Featured listings are labeled, limited to one per page, and excluded from organic ranking rather than boosted inside it.

Sponsored listings

A provider can pay to appear in a labelled Sponsored slot above the list on their county and state pages, and to have their website shown on their own profile.

A new sponsorship appears at the next site update rather than immediately.

Sponsorship changes nothing else. The list underneath stays ordered by how recently the provider registry was updated, then alphabetically. Paying does not move a provider up that list, does not change which pages they appear on, and does not affect how they rank in search engines. Links we are paid for are marked so search engines ignore them.

Only a provider who has claimed and verified their own listing can sponsor it. A sponsored listing is an advertisement, not an endorsement, and we do not verify clinical quality, outcomes, or network status for sponsors any more than for anyone else.

Claiming and removal

Claiming is free and does not affect ranking. An agency can request removal at any time. Contact us.

Cost

Free for families. Free for providers to list and claim. Sponsorship is optional and clearly labelled wherever it appears.
